Since 2023, volunteers from the local community have been working hard to beautify this previously neglected space near Lillie Road Recreation Ground.
Transforming Jenny’s Corner has been no small task. Discarded rubbish, waste, plastic, vape pods and even a bicycle helmet were left on the premises! It is an ongoing battle keeping the space clean and productive.
The space has undergone great changes since the founding of Jenny’s Corner!
Follow along on our journey to making it a place for the public to use and enjoy!
None of this would have been possible without the help of our amazing volunteers! If you’re interested in joining us on this project, we’d love to hear from you!
We are working to create a sustainable, well-designed space that could capture the imagination and raise up this neglected area for the community. Read more about our mission here.
We want to make Jenny’s Corner a space that welcomes the disabled community and those facing personal struggles, inspiring kindness across the generations who use the Recreation Ground and helping change attitudes to disability and mental health. We also aspire to make this space a place for outdoor activities for these communities with a focus on exploring biodiversity in urban areas.
